How to enter a real Icelandi Country Food Festival, the famous tradition for Icelanders to gather in February every year to eat traditional home made country food. We make this happen on a whole weekend of food experience and outdoor adventures. The party starts Friday night with light two course dinner. On Saturday we take the traditional sour food and diverse milk dishes for lunch, play outdoors all day long before dinner of several meat dishes, fish, shark and specially cured duck’s eggs local style among many other specialities. This is a gourmet party no gastronome shoul leve behind.

Lake Myvatn is very enjoyable during Easter, all mountain tracks are open for snow scooter tours, pre made cross country ski tracks, Passion walk on Good Friday, concert with the Classical group, Music by Lake Myvatn and finally Myvatn Nature Baths every day ended with gourmet meal at our popular restaurant Myllan.

In a walking distance from the hotel we have Lake Myvatn Golf course, one of the most challenging course in Iceland. It’s 9 holes par 66 long and short drives over hills and mounds. On this course even the best players have to give it all. We offer a unique opportunity to play here in the bright summer nights or beautiful autumn colors
Game Feast

The menu at our Restaurant Myllan on Fridays and Saturdays in October consists of course game, wild salmon, Lake Myvatn Arctic Charr as starters, goose, reindeer as maincourse followed by deserts from blueberries and apples. All made of our high qualified chiefs and specially selected wines served. We find it great idea to spend the whole weekend with us and enjoy game dinners both nights.
